Charles Ede was  one of the world’s leading specialists in Ancient Art, dealing in items from the Greek, Egyptian, and Roman worlds from the early 1970s until his demise in 2002.


His gallery catalogues are well illustrated with good photographs and  the artefacts decscribed in considerable detail and with many useful references.
The catalogues are usually 6 pages but sometimes 5 or 4.
The descriptions of each piece usually are very detailed with additional interesting notes and references to parallels in museums and in the academic literature.
