A  small early Canaanite red slipped "Abydos ware" juglet

This type of stump based and red burnished fabric gets its name from the pottery found in the royal tombs of the first and second Dynasties at Abydos, Saqqara, Abusir el-Melek, and other sites in Upper Egypt.

Intact bar a tiny nibble on hte rim and with much of the red slip remaining.
