From my own collection: TRAJAN - sestertius REX PARTHIS DATVS S C Obv: Bust of Trajan, laureate, right with aegis. IMP CAES NER TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG GER DAC PARTHICO P M TR P COS VI P P Rev: Trajan bare-headed, in military dress, seated left on platform on right with prefect, presenting King Parthamaspates, standing left, to Parthia, kneeling in front of him. Lettering: REX PARTHIS DATVS S C Translation: Rex Parthis Datus. Senatus Consultum. A king given to the Parthians. Decree of the Senate. According to Sear’s note 'This depicts the investiture of the Roman puppet Parthamaspates as king of Parthia in AD 116. He was to enjoy his position for only a brief period, as the Roman forces soon withdrew from Parthia and Trajan died the following year. In consolation the new emperor, Hadrian, bestowed on the dethroned monarch another kingdom, that of Osrhoene.' AD 114 - AD 117
