A rather unusual Roman glass bottle with really lovely and graceful trailing decoration in a pleasing light blue glass. More typical spiral trailing on the neck but very unusual trailing on the belly. A good size at 115mm Intact Roman circa 1st-2nd century. A fairly similar type in the Louvre was found in Syria but in The Corning Museum of Glass this type is described as Italian or Western Empire, mid first century.
