Egyptian faience bead mummy mask

These type of masks were used (as you can see in the main photo) from the 26th dynasty right through to Ptolemaic times.

This one is made up of rather smaller and finer beads than one usually sees

and is rather  smaller than most are.

91mm x 73mm.

Please note, really very few such masks on the market are the actual original masks as such.

They are re-strung with the appropriate ancient beads in the correct style as this one is also.

Egyptian, Late Period - Ptolemaic.
