A nice faience amulet of Thoth as an Ibis Intact though has entirely lost its original surface glaze This type of amulet was sometimes not much glazed at all, but rather painted. Beneath the beak would normally be either a small seated figure of Maat or the Maat feather. Intact 27mm Late Period, circa 500 BC
