A very fine and wearable Celtic La Tene bronze bracelet. This comes from a collection of Celtic artefacts found in the late 19th century at Chatelaudren in the Cotes-d'Armor (Brittany) which is an ancient core area for the Celtic tribes. The pieces came to London in the early 1900s and were in the collection of Gawain McKinley in France and later in the Peter Sharrer collection. If the information is reliable, and one can only go on the old labels stuck on some of the objects, then these pieces may well be from the Coriosolites tribe of the Armorican Celts. Intact with a really nice glossy patina. From an old French collection . With old numerical label attached. 80mm Difficult to date precisely, but probably Middle La Tène circa middle 3rd century BC.
