A nice Megarian bowl with  detailed and sharp floral mould formed decoration.

Some mottling of the colour as is quite common in Megarian bowls.

The  relief decoration is an imitation of silver and  gold Hellenistic metal bowls which were used for drinking cups as a substitute for the old kantharos shape.

 

These often sell for quite a lot of money compared to this one.
