This bronze bowl whose outer surface has a remarkable glossy dark grey-green mirror-like patina was previously in a collection designated as early Achemenid but it could equally be Greek of about the same date. Has some incised decorative lines on the bottom. Such bronze bowls of this style were manufactured throughout the Western Asiatic and Eastern Mediterranean region at this time and one can't we certain at all where this one was made. Very good metal. Some surface accretions on one side as you can see. 134mm across rim: 54mm high. Circa early 6th/5th century BC. Ex Belgian collection
